It seems that neat Iranian guys attacked Denmark embassy again. Why?
Good Picture/ Bad Picture
Kamangir | February 7, 2006 | Category Iran
This boy is among the people demonstrating in front of the Norway Embassy in Tehran. The fact that he is carrying a picture of the prophet shows that he has no serious problem with drawing Prophet’s face. He basically seems to be mad with the content of the cartoons. This picture is believed to depict the young prophet when he was traveling with his uncle. How to Back Your DVDs Up
Kamangir | February 7, 2006 | Category Personal
There are situations when you buy a DVD and then do not want to loose it. So, you may want to make a back up of the movie you’ve just bought. There are also other occasions in which you may want to back DVDs up, but I am not talking about them. You know, we have to remain in the circle of law.
I was concerned with this problem and spent a few days finding the answer, so I think maybe others would be intrested in my results. The process is like this, you have a DVD which is probably having a region code. You have to crack the code and copy the DVD to your hard drive (in VOB format). Then, you have to convert the VOB files to a DIVX AVI file. To watch VOB files use Sigma Player (see). There are a few tools to convert a DVD to VOB (see). But I do not recommend them. What I recommend is a very good package called RipPack (see). That’s great and does both jobs! Remember to change the language from French to English and to use MP3 as the sound codec.

When Cartoons Fight
Kamangir | February 7, 2006 | Category Iran
Iran Daily is holding a contest for the best cartoon about Holocaust (see). That’s when cartoons fight. The chief Rabbi in France indicates two issues in this matter. First, there are jewish people in Iran which will be hurt, though, there were Mulsims in Denmark which were obviously hurt. Second, he notes that Europe religious leaders have condemned the publication of the images which are likely to offend believers’ feelings.Finding Neverland
Kamangir | February 7, 2006 | Category Iran
The main line of the story is about how the writer meets a pretty woman with her four sons and knows that the father of the boys has recently died. Strange enough for the Miramax and Kate Winselt, the movie, which is full of romantic scenes, is not having any single adult shots. I really liked it when the mother of the boys, having suffered with an illness like Tuberculous, is surprised by a play in her house. To satisfy our imaginations, she steps into a fairytale world just in her living room. And then, the next shot, we see the family gathered on her grave.
It seems that the guys in Hollywood are able to make worthy movies, if they try. Though, I am not sure “Finding Neverland†has sold as good as “Titanic†or “The Pirates of the Caribbeanâ€.
