Finding Neverland

Borrowing Johnny Depp from “Pirates of the Caribbean” and Kate Winselt from “Titanic”, “Finding Neverland” is nothing like an entertaining motion picture. So, do not look for a gigantic stunt work or an elegant realization of fantastic characters. Finding neverland is all about a scene writer and his dream world. The movie is full of occasions when reality and fantasy are quite mixed up. Like when the writer and his wife, which is not having any affair with fairytales, go to their rooms. While the wife’s room is a dark obvious one, the writer steps into sky.
The main line of the story is about how the writer meets a pretty woman with her four sons and knows that the father of the boys has recently died. Strange enough for the Miramax and Kate Winselt, the movie, which is full of romantic scenes, is not having any single adult shots. I really liked it when the mother of the boys, having suffered with an illness like Tuberculous, is surprised by a play in her house. To satisfy our imaginations, she steps into a fairytale world just in her living room. And then, the next shot, we see the family gathered on her grave.
It seems that the guys in Hollywood are able to make worthy movies, if they try. Though, I am not sure “Finding Neverland” has sold as good as “Titanic” or “The Pirates of the Caribbean”.
