Celebration

In his final years, Iran’s last Shah celebrated what he called the “2500-th anniversary of Iranian kingdom”. Many observers think the count down for him began then. The event was decorated with people resembling Iranian military groups from different epochs.

Wearing traditional Iranian clothes, the beginning of a new era for the Islamic Republic is celebrated. The metallic objects hold the first Yellow Cake produced by Iranians during the Uranium enrichment process.

Are we experiencing another major event in Iran’s history?

Imam’s Uranium

The first Yellow Cake (see) produced by Iranians during the Uranium enrichment process was presented to the museum of the holy mosque of the eighth Imam in Mashhad (see). Did anybody have any doubt that Iranian administration can connect anything to anything else? Like soccer to politics or nuclear “electricity” to religion.

Nuclear Poetry

Mehr News Agency has posted a Persian poem about Iranians achievements in nuclear technology (see).

It is not easy at all for me to translate this poem to English. Here, I will try to give some clues into the meaning. The poet starts with “there is some light in any particle” and continues with talking with a man who is like a mentor for him (does he mean Ahmadniejad?). Then, he asks for “crack the core if you are seeking love” because “we are looking for peace and friendship” and “this will resolve all deadlocks”. After inviting to “look at our bright future”, the poem ends with calling the names of Natanz and Isfahan, the major Iranian nuclear sites.

Iran Enriched Uranium

Ahmadniejad just announced that Iran has successfully enriched Uranium (see) (see) (see) (see) (see). Whatever it means, and I really don’t know its meaning, it doesn’t seem like a peaceful resolution for the crisis.

Thirsty Russians

Russians seem to have got ready to satisfy another ambition of the new Iranian administration. Iran transferred tons of money into bank accounts of the of the giant previously superpower for a nuclear reactor which was planned to have started serving Iranians couple of years ago. Now, Russians have found another way to gain some more dollars. Iran has reportedly started daydreaming about sending a man into space with Russia’s help (see). Fortunately, the very friendly Russians do not seem to be opposed to the idea. After all, its lots of money. For the Iranian side, that would be another chance to export the revolution. Bon voyage!

Comic Strip

Heads of the Islamic Republic gather in Mashhad close to the eighth Imam’s shrine.
