Making People Assured
Kamangir | April 12, 2006 | Category Iran
Commander of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards Air Force asserts that Iran can easily block the export of oil through the Persian Gulf. He even tries to be charming, “you don’t need to hear this from FOX News” (watch). He continues with “we have never tried to use this power” (the English subtitle is not correct) but does not hesitate to add “[but that's till] enemies use a different language”. So, basically he means Iranian military forces will not act hostile unless they think it is needed (doesn’t it calm you down?). He finishes with “it is nothing to be worried about, … because we do not think we should do so [interrupting oil export in the Persian Gulf] when we do not feel a serious threat”. In another interview, the former Iranian Defence Minister even goes further, “we can manufacture Shahab missiles like candies [means in large quantities]“. The man leans back after he adds “mass production of missiles for us is now as simple as producing RPGs” (watch). The regime seems to be certain about its military power.
President’s journeys
Kamangir | April 12, 2006 | Category Iran
Following a series of cabinet meetings held in different cities around the country, as a sign of being there for the nation, Ahmadinejad is now spending time in different towns, and sometimes villages, of Khorasan, the northern east province of Iran (see). It seems that people are doing their best to listen to him and to watch him in flesh. Reports say that Ahmadinejad’s promises to build roads and stadiums and to mobilize the local hospital’s equipments were such appealing that ten people fainted in the tight crowd (see).
Nuclear Holiday
Kamangir | April 12, 2006 | Category Iran
Members of the Parliament have told reporters that Ahmadniejad’s cabinet will announce April 15th as the national holiday named as the nuclear energy day (see).
Holy Sugar, Rice, and Hair
Kamangir | April 12, 2006 | Category Iran
Do you think these people are working on another nuclear project? Does it seem they are watching Iran’s latest achievements in building a nano-missile which is able to destroy the whole Israel? Actually, they are starring at tiny engravings of Islamic texts such as prayers and verses of Quran on things like rice seeds. For example the text below the second photo reads, “a seed of rice on which … [a famous Islamic prayer], … [names of eight short Suras of Quran], and some verses of the Sura Cow are engravedâ€. The pictures are taken at the exhibition of writing Quran and the holy names of Imams on sugar particles, rice seeds, and hair held in Iran.
