The chief of the foreign affairs and national security commitee in the Iranian parliament sent a letter to Zinédine Zidane (see). Acknowledging his “on-time defence for his personal and Islamic identity” he appreciated “his logical reaction” which was important because “not only a Muslim is not a terrorist but also the main slogan of Islam is peace”.
