This picture is taken during a march for female members of Basij. The headband reads “Oh! Zahra”, referring to the prophet’s daughter as a mentor. Isn’t it amazing to see a lady boiling under these strange cloths and holding a gun while she can be easily imagined wearing a top and a pair of sunglasses? Isn’t it amazing how ideology dictates our behaviors? I can imagine many arguing that wearing a top is another ideology. My point is the confidence and determination that you should have to grab a gun and decide “I am going to a fight with the world”. Basically, I admire this lady. She is so determined about her goal and has a very wel-defined theory for the whole universe. Though, I can’t say I envy her. At the end of the day she is a poor puppets. The interesting part is that she probably thinks that I am a poor puppet. Isn’t all this great? Probably not for those who get killed in this funny game.
