I have played these strategy games, too. Frankly, I am a fan of Empire Earth (see). I don’t like Age of Empires (see) because at the end you have to move elephants to attack funny-looking castles. In Empire Earth you can actually take off your little B52 bombers and drop atomic bombs right on top of the poor enemy’s hospital. In the new version (see) you can also build missile silos. Just build enough warheads and watch them hit your enemy. This is nice. I actually enjoy listening to the sounds of the battleground. My strategy in Empire Earth is to build dozens of airports, all packed with bombers and fighters. Then, whenever any single fighter dares to get close to the tall walls of my cities I ask the planes to go ahead and get rid of them. Sometimes, if the enemy’s buildings get too close I send the airplanes to push them back. Truthfully, I also like the preemptive kind of war. When I spot a missile silo I do not wait until the door opens; two B52s accompanied by a bomber and a fighter and its done. The good thing about Empire Earth is that when your enemy defeats it goes away. I have never had a suicide bomber in one my cities. I suppose in the next version Sierra should really think about this new feature, too. I really don’t know what type of warfare I should use to stop these small blasting machines.
