Both news sources and bloggers are talking about Iran’s rule in the war in Lebanon. I understand them but things are not as straightforward as they sometimes seem to be. Please note that I am not trying to draw an innocent picture of the Iranian administration; politicians’ words are sometimes mightier than bullets and at least the Iranian president is not having a good reputation in this respect. For the moment lets try to think in the way someone very ordinary in Lebanon may think. The fact is that they are being bombarded by Israeli planes. I do not think I would give a damn to the possible explanations that kidnapping two soldiers has started all that mess. When a plane comes toward you, your mind works very simply “save yourself and whoever you care for”.

While many people from the outside the crisis zone blame Iran for detonating the region I think some other people right where the bombs are landing have the right to blame Iran, too. Look at this picture. The frame shows the late Iranian supreme leader and the current one. Look at the girl’s hands and her eyes. She really doesn’t want to be there, but she is. The way out seems to be closed. However, there is one hope. The brave people of Iran are most likely sending money and ammunition inside. My point is, I doubt this is very much a help to this lady.

Yes, Iran is advocating for all sorts of problems in the region. They use rhetoric and “wipe off” type of sentences. They also are accused of providing “Islamic forces” with warfare and money. But, at the end of the day the Lebanese girl is the one who looses her life. Hundreds of kilometers away, in the peaceful streets of Tehran, some Iranians burn flags and shout. Good sympathy, isn’t it?

    yea, Isaraelis politicians don’t know with starting this war , they made demolishing Hezbollah impossible, because now lebanese are more united with Hezbollah. They made Hezbollah strong er even better than Iran and suria’s support. beacuse this armed group can show itself when there is a war.

    Same Fathers, DIfferent Mothers. We’re brothers.
    Israel left Lebanon six years ago. Why are we back?
    because Hizbollah decided they just HAD to attack Israel, and make a BIG splash in the headlines this summer.

    Yes, I agree with the feelings that this was SUPPOSED to be the OCTOBER war that the Neo-con’s in the US wanted to re-elect a REPUBLICAN senate and house.

    NO. I dont feel that Israel STARTED this war. As I say (somewhere in my blog…

    And Yes, I think we Jews can actually thank Hizbollah, and Iran/IRAQ, becuase they have managed to get even the Israeli Left (Peace Now) 100% behind this senseless campaign against Lebanon.

    And yes, it’s senseless. But Necessary. because it HAS become a war of survival. Israel vs. Hamas. With ALL of Lebanon in the way. Sorry boys. SOrry Girls, Sorry non-Muslims, Sorry muslims too.

    Your Brothers feel it is more important to intimidate and fight Israel from WITHIN a CIVILIAN population, so you’re going to have TONS and TONS of casualties.

    Be thankful it isn’t the UNITED States doing the bombing. Otherwise Beirut, and EVERY single town would have been leveled already.

    The Israelis are at least ONLY destroying buildings where the rockets have COME from (reverse triangulation), rather then destroying entire towns!

    And if Hizbollah could be made to STOP firing rockets from Houses, Day care centers, and hospitals, life would be much more humane for all involved.

    Remember ONE thing.
    Israel is a FACT of life. Hating the “ZIONISTS” will not get israel to EVER go away. As a matter of fact, the only thing that ABSOLUTE hatred gets is MORE absolute HATRED. ANd THAT is the problem
    When your next and next and next generation come out hating ISRAEL too, maybe you might stop and think that that is simply a country, with your BROTHERS in it, that has a RIGHT to exist too!

    Please stop the nasty rhetoric. Please stop cursing about Israel’s existence
    Perhaps working to try and educate and change the educational system might be more helpful?
