Gas Hurricane

Kamangir | September 4, 2006 | Category Iran

The text reads “intelligent fuel card national project”. The Islamic Republic is preparing to control the gigantic flow of cheap gas in Iran. For an oil-exporting country with lots of domestic problems there is no reason to spend a major fraction of the budget on gas. On the other hand, the Iranian economy can not afford the shock of paying the real price. So, let’s have everyone fill their tanks to a limited extent. Even forgetting the potential chance for corruption, this is going to shake many people’s lives; especially those who look for passengers in the streets without being a registered cab driver.

The government should think about paying the bus drivers instead of putting them in jail. They should also use the money they send to Hizbollah at home. I know many people are upset about that. Have a nice day.
