    what is wrong with it???:)

  2. kamangir |

I think in a democracy he should roll down that window and talk to people.

I wonder if he likes disco dancing. You know, when it gets late at night in the Islamic Republic’s palaces, maybe he takes off the clerical robes, heads over to the US Embassy for some 70’s flashbacks, and starts blasting James Brown. Maybe!?!?

    Vilas,
    Excuse me?

Great blog you have here, very informative. Keep up the good work!

I especially like the Ayatollah-mobile. Maybe Qom is more like the Vatican than we thought?

Vilas, I was talking to a friend at a party last night who told me that during the time of the Shah, the Iranian Embassy threw some of the best (and hardest to get into) parties in Washington.

Arash, have you read The Shia Revival by Vali Nasr? I’d be interested to hear your thoughts.

I really love the photos. I think they are great in showing the kind of democracy we have in Iran, and especially I like the second one.

  8. kamangir |

    Matthew,
I actually haven’t. Let me see if I can find in the library.

  9. kamangir |

    Shaghaiegh,
Yes, I like the second one, too.

It was a saying: “Poor people who don’t have a hero and more poor people who need a hero” or something like that.
So, it’s not important who is this person or is he dictator or he’s been elected.
Even if the window was open, that man had not anything to say

salam arash jan.. man hich kodom az axaye blogeto nemitonam bebinam:-?.. f i lter shode? . rasty linke bloge u ro ezafe kardam..felan :Xbye

Translation: Hi dear Arash… I can’t see any of the pictures in your blog. Is it filtered?…

  12. kamangir |

    بهرنگ,
I understand what you mean, but, there is a very obvious reason why that man, and others, are kept in poverty and illiteracy.

  13. kamangir |

    فرهاد,
I know… Do you know any service which is not filtered in Iran?

  14. mahii |

The existence of such a supreme is agaianst democracy, opening the car window just makes the show more fake.

  15. kamangir |

    Mahii,
    You are actually right.
