I have been always fascinated by watching Ahmadinejad’s ability to be a showman. However, during his last trip, he proved that he is even more professional that I though he is. As before, a few pictures.

This, I think, is the first time he is embracing two kids.

PJM Quotes Taheri (Updated)

There is a Persian proverb which says “the sun came to prove the sun”, meaning someone tried to prove his claims based on someone else less truth-worthy. After PJM’s “breaking news” about Khamenei’s death (see), now they are referring to Amir Taheri as “an Iranian-born journalist with a wide range of sources inside and outside of his former homeland”. He has told PJM (see),

It is a rumor circulating in Tehran…There is no way to know if it is true.

Well, I am not sure about PJM, but Taheri was highly refuted when he had the “breaking news” of mandatory badges for the Jews in Iran (see).

I think too that the IR is a mean dictatorship, but, are we really going to fool ourselves? Any way, PJM concludes that,

On balance, Taheri was confident that Khamenei was suffering from cancer but skeptical that he had died.

Ahmadinejad is continuing his trip. This means those who were celebrating Khameneii’s decease should hold for a while. If anything had happened, he would have rushed to Tehran. To add a layer to the dilemma, you can argue that Ahmadinejad is pushing hard to gain more popularity, in case anything happened.
