The UFO Returns (Updated)

Kamangir | January 16, 2007 | Category Iran

Sources of the raw map (see). The plane shown here is not the actual targeted one.

Fars Reports that the Islamic Republic army has targeted an unmanned US spy plane in Dasht-e Azadegan.

Dasht-e Azadegan MP told Fars that the army has targeted a US spy plane in the border. He added “it has been an unmanned plane similar to many others which are sent once every while to the region by the Americans”.

Ilna also quotes the MP saying “the number of American soldiers on the border has increased and thus the nunber of Iranian guards should go up”.

Update: Gateway Pundit has more. Link in English Fars, hat trip Gateway Pundit.

Update: A UFO was observed for an hour in Bouyer Ahmad (see), hat trip Gateway Pundit.

Irrelevant update: Russia announced today that the advanced short-range TOR-M1 missiles have been delivered to Iran. Russian defence minister added “if Iran wants to buy defencive, I underline defencive, equipment for its armed forces then why not?” (see). Well, the Islamic Republic appreciates some Russian help to get rid of a few greenish aliens.

So the strugle is again between Russia and the USA? is the old bear waking up from its winter sleep?

  2. kamangir |

    Gholi,
Seems so! Or probably it is about oil dollars.

  3. gholi |

even bears need to keep warm. right? with oil

    Gholi,
    Right! :)

Russia is praying that the US attacks Iran. If Iran and Iraq are in turmoil, that leaves only Venezuela, Nigeria, Saudi and Russia as the world’s main oil producers. Russia would make beaucoup money.

    Matthew,
Don’t forget that the Russians are completely ready to supply Iran with outdated weaponry.

  7. Matthew |

Not only did Iran get Russian weaponry, they got US military surplus to update the fleet of F-14s left over from the time of the Shah.

    Matthew,
Isn’t that amazing? I suppose that means if you have the money and you insist on spending it there will always be someone in the corner ready to help you out. At least it is so when the numbers are large.

    Hello
I tried linking to your blog a few weeks ago, I don’t know if it took.
I lived in Isfahan during the late 1970s up until 1979. I went to American School, but was otherwise able to run around the country side. I loved your country, and despite what I think about the leadership, I still do have very fond memories. I am glad to see your blog and hope you will link back to my blog as well.
    Gob Bless you
