I have posted many funny pictures and videos of “Dr.” Ahmadinejad in this blog. I have mocked him, I have made fun of him, and I have called him a naive person. Today, Soheil sent me a video, which if is real, is the most hilarious thing I have seen this man doing. Given that this video is not fake, which I am positive it isn’t, I officially call this man an idiot. These are the exact words of my “president”.
Our youth have reached to the peak of technology in the medical field. They have discovered the stem cells. Do you know what a stem cells is? It is the fundamental cell of any person’s body. If you find it, you can use it build all the organs of that person. You build his eye. You build his heart. You build the liver. You build the kidney. You install them and it will work exactly like it did before [in that person's body].
The enemy wants to tell us we can’t. We should shout, youth! the Iranian nation! we can! A teacher called me a short while ago. [she said] “There is a girl in our school. She is 16 years old and she is in the third grade in the high school. She tells us that she has invented nuclear energy at home.” I told her to conduct a meeting at school and to research into it and know how much serious this is. They did that and replied that it seems to be quite serious. So, I called the head of the nuclear energy institute and told him… to support her if her claim was true. So, they invited our nuclear scientists, whose average age is less than 25 years. They had a meeting and talked to her. They realized that she is telling the truth…So, they went to her house and found out that she had bought some equipment from the market, with the help of her brother, and in fact has produced nuclear energy. She is now there [in the nuclear facilities] and she is a nuclear scientist. She has a driver and a bodyguard now. This is self-confidence.
p.s. I listened again; she has “discovered” the nuclear energy.
She tells us that she has invented nuclear energy at home.
Well that puts me to shame.. all I have here at home is porn.

Vince P,
Throw them away and start reading high school books. Maybe, once day, if you are blessed by God Almighty, you may start your own nuclear reactor in the basement. :)

I cannot imagine anyone “wanting†Nuclear power in their basement, city or as an energy source. I can understand the need if there is no other source, but the dangers presented by nuclear reactors scream “look for alternative sourcesâ€. One only has to remember Three Mile Island here in the US or even worse Russia’s Chernobyl to be reminded of the dangers of nuclear energy.

I think it’ll be great if we can get this video broadcasted by a major TV channel in North America. I sent the link to the video and a summary of his speech to CBC sunday night. I wish I had saw your post before that. Anyways, if you can think of a way to contact English media I think it would be great if they get to know this man better.

I think the kid next door has already done this in his basement. There’s a weird blue glow in this neighborhood, and I swear I just saw a Squirrel the size of a Dog eyeing me awfully funny…

Actually, this is pretty standard Totalitarian hyperbole. Ask any 1950’s Soviet who invented the toaster and they’d answer “a little girl on a collective just outside Minsk”, because that’s what Stalin told them. Totalitarian societies need to believe that they are responsibile for all of the extraordinary goodness in the world… this means the Ahmadinejad’s, as a Totalitarian, must make his fellow citizens believe in the power of the Iranian State in order for his people to believe their State is what the rest of the world should resemble.
I’m fairly certain that none of the people he was speaking to would have any idea about anything regarding nuclear power, so he could have told them the enrichment process actually happens inside his lower colon and they’d gasp in amazement and call it An Iranian Miracle. But it was an innocent little girl (if you think quesioning The State is hard, try questioning The Innocent Little Girls of The State) who used instruments found locally (see how easy it is? You Too Can Be An Intregal Part Of The State) to develop the technology needed to give Iran back its rightful place as the Most Venerated Nation Ever.
This is exactly the kind of propaganda technique used in the Soviet Union, People’s Republic of China, North Korea and Myanmar, among others. Don’t dismiss Ahmadinejad, or any other Totalitarian, so easily. Remember, you are not their target audience, you’re the target they’ve selected for their audience.

Give her a grant and let her try to solve the whole cold fusion problem. She’ll probably just spend it on Bush effigies and head wear. So sad.
