IR: US Drill? No Way! (Updated)

Kamangir | March 28, 2007 | Category Iran

After the Islamic Republic denied the arrest of the British soldiers for a long time, now they are denying that the US is doing any military drill in the Persian Gulf. According to Mehr News Agency, Tangsiri, a top Sepah commander in the region stated “according to our observations in the recent days, the US has not carried out any drill in the Persian Gulf.” He added “our forces in the Persian Gulf and the Strait of Hormoz have complete surveillance on the situation and any foreign movement is carefully tracked”. He also denied the news about a missile shooting by Iran and said “these are all parts of the American psycho-war”.

Update: Entekhab publishes an interview with an “IR military Analyst”. He states “any military attempt by the US or the UK would face the most sever response. Any attack on Iran from the US is complete foolishness because all their interests all around the world would be in danger. The West is unaware of the military power of Iran. If they attack Iran, they would receive a response which they would be shocked of for many years. Iran’s missiles now can attack the farthest places in the Europe and this is only a small portion of Iran’s power.” The “analyst” concludes “according to the information that we have, there will be no attack and this is only a psychological operation” [thanks to Matthew for the correction].

Just a note on translation. Psycho-warfare in English military terminology is psyops/psy-ops/or psychological operations. Psyops is the most common. Psycho-warfare sounds to the native ear like “psychotic warfare”
