Hossein Derakhshan (Hoder) published a post today with a fake time stamp. In that post, he talks about his guess about my real identity. Without talking about the serious danger he is causing for me, it is a silly action from someone who calls himself the “godfather of the Iranian blogsphere” to pretend that he has talked about my real name in his blog in April, while Google Cache shows that he is lying. To keep this for future, I am saving both pages.
His search for my real identity started recently, after he failed to agitate me, and other users of the biggest Iranian community on the web, Balatarin, with his ridiculous comments. As I have mentioned previously, he is not an enemy, he is just an idiot. This might help a bit knowing the cause of his anger.
p.s. To the right is a snapshot from Technorati which shows when he has published that post.
I remember when Hoder visited Israel. He actually lectured at my university.
His co-lecturer was an Egyptian who ranted about how all Egyptian bloggers were pampered, rich brats. Hoder was… just there to feed his ego, really.
The man is in desperate need of a reality check, because for him Hoder is the One True Iranian Blogger. I suspect that in his subconcious, his search for your identity is an attempt to get rid of the competition.
Too bad he doesn’t understand that he’s alone in the race.

This is exactly the same thing that happaned when he shout down roozonline. After that Roozonline editorial could manage to make it online again, Derakhshan wrote an entryHe did exactly the same thing when he shout down Roozonline on october- november 2006, a few days before elections. When Roozonline was online again, something that surprised Hoder, he post an entry with a fake time stamp and made this statement:
“But on the eve of two crucial elections in Iran, and given the fact that after the closure of Shargh and many other moderate media outlets, the moderates have almost no voice in the public debate on Iran, I’ve decided to voluntarily continue providing service to them, at least until the end of the elections.”
That time no one believed that Derakhshan shouted it down only because of money issues. Derakhshan, in his defence, said that roozonline’s political views and approaches are the closest ones to his own and it would be insane to shout it down because of political reasons. It took only less than two months that Derahshan accused them of being traitors and advocates of USA’s military invasion in Iran!

When I saw that post I thought what a son of a Mullah, the guy has no shame and no respect. Of course he does realise that he can put people in to danger by revealing their identity. You see, not everyone is son of a akhoond, so they can’t get away with it when they are arrested in Iran like he did.
Get rid of competition? How can one say that when the guy has obviously a rather different political view and without a doubt agenda than most other Iranian bloggers like Kamangir?!
Anyone who still takes his moronic posts seriously has to wake up and see the agent in hiding.

Kaman: The guy is a lunatic and malignantly narcissitic. He is clinically certifiable. He is either on drugs or schizoid. He also craves attention…that’s why he does and says outrageous things. He likes to play mind games with people, hallmark of sociopathic and diseased brain…I’m not surprised though, if his father is indeed a mullah. Almost all mullahs are psychopaths and they produce psychopathic offsprings.

He is becoming less relevant as more people realize his true intentions. Open Democracy dropped him like hot potato last year the instant he showed his true colors, and even “The Independent” has turned their back on him and don’t even mention his name. He has lost a lot of credibility in the “Liberal” media, the same media that was publishing his comments on regular basis.
so don’t even bother mentioning his name, let him fade into his world.

I strongly believe that he does have mental problems.

HD has a problem which I am not sure what is called!
he problem is like this:
if someone is getting to be known little better than him in blog sphere or become famous and more reliable than him, he starts to attach him!
he does that by saying that the person is related to this group and that and gets money from her and there! on the other hand, he lable everyone with something. that is similar method that IRI has done.
I hope he, and many other newbie Journalist, come to this realization world is a big planet and we shall all live along each other without much of problem, if we respect one another.
Comment by Alireza — May 7, 2007 @ 6:00 am
While I was reading his post I was expecting to see copies of deposited checks from IRI or a report from a Swiss bank account…LOL
I don’t understand the significance of this guy’s claim. What difference does it make what my name is. If my real name is Abadpour but in cyber world I like to call myself Mr. Joe, does this make me a coward?
Experience has thought me reading garbage from a professional propagandist is waste of valuable time.

I wish his intellect was as big as his mouth. As you mentioned, this is our silence and inactivity that makes him look big to the media. Little doubt that this is his ego that drives him; I dislike this as much as you; this alone discredits him assuming an activist role. At the same time, I commend him on being able to take advantage of the media and his early contributions.
Rather than bringing him down from his throne by exposing him, I wish we would stand tall ourselves and build a lasting trend. We, as the whole educated elites of that land, have to be ashamed of our accomplishments in helping our country; we usually end up just saving our own lives here in the West or simply join the silent majority at home. No wonder any political dwarf could pose as a leader whether him, Fakhr-Avar or even Ahmadinejad himself :) Keep up the good work!

Wow ! That guy has some ego. I think his entire blog is ripe for a parody.

You know what? After that you told you were in Iran in 2004, he realized he has done a huge mistak and now he says the comment you left was in 2006!
Comment by Erinther — May 8, 2007 @ 7:43 am
Here is the link to his post he claims kamangir has left a comment:
http://i.hoder.com/archives/2006/04/060424_015195.shtml
(and chached version)
There is no comment with your name. but it was just a few hours ago when I checked it. I think he realized everyone will come to know that comment was created by himself. so it was deleted.
anyway if it adds a comment again in kamangir’s name, check the cached version. There is no such a cmment.

So you thought you could hide behind the assumed identity and destroy Hoder and all your “enemies”? Well, grow up body. They don’t call him the “godfather of the Iranian blogsphere” for nothing. Can’t stand the heat, get out of the kitchen.
Comment by Khorsand — May 8, 2007 @ 1:57 pm
Don’t worry yourself over this. It is so unfortunate and a validation to why the Iranian’s fight for democracy has never successfully taken off (because everyone thinks they are the GOD and deserve absolute submission). I wish Hoder and his like minded army of skanks understood that not everyone has the backing of the leader and the IRI regime to say what he wants, travel to Israel when it is clearly stated in the Iranian passport that Iranian citizens are forbidden to do so, and not fear the consiquences. I have to say that, lately what Hoder says is backing every action of IRI, going so far as to say IRI have the right to punish people when people violate the laws the IRI wrote!!!!! Do we really want to open that can of worms of who has what rights? We’ll see how much he appreciate that right when they have their way with him. I hope they pay him well.

As the particulars of this deception become clearer, they shed light on how petty and pathetic Hoder has become. I don’t think money is the issue with him. He’s a spoiled brat who thinks he can do anything he wants. And does, because right now he can.
Hoder is just an overgrown baby who has gone from crying to mud-slinging and downright attempted murder, because he thinks someone is trying to take his toys away.

People should start digging this post and adding it to social networking sites so that other bloggers can soon find out about his absurd and hideous behavior. We are all with you Arash!

Well done Arash. And don’t pay too mach attention on roaches like derakhshan. I enjoy reading your blog.

Actually Erinther, you should look a bit furthur down on that page and you’ll see this comment by Arash Abadpour:
آرش آبادپور : من شرمندم این اوریجینالیته یعنی چی؟
And it’s link to a previous blog by Kamangir on blogspot that doesn’ty exist anymore:

I did a huge mistake when I left my comment (no.14) and wrote that Derakhshan had faked a comment too.
In fact Derakhshan is absolutely right that there was a comment left by Kamangir’s real name on his weblog, but I simply could not see that.
So I’m sorry I did such a mistake and I accept that, as Derakhshan says in his entry on this subject (persian blog), the only thing that was faked was the time stamp, not the comment.
