During a parliament session, in which the Minister of Education was being impeached, a few MPs accompanied by the Minister of Culture took off for saying their prayers. The minister succeeded in remaining in his position.

A “Don’t Park” sign close to a mosque in Tehran. The text reads “except for prayers’ cars”.
A traffic sign in Tehran “Islamic Republic to the right, Freedom to the left”. Both Islamic Republic and Freedom are names of streets in Tehran (source).
Not everyone listens to the Police, some argue with them.




Police is seriously pursuing an anti-gang program in Tehran. The program is followed by punishment in the streets, including marching the gang members with plastic swords. The red vase in the above picture is what Iranians use to wash themselves up in the restroom.

The photographer writes “there was a [mandatory] praying session in this school and I went for taking pictures. This boy was reading his history book instead.”

“Students” rally in front of the parliament to condemn negotiation with the US. The sign to the left reads “Talking to Uncle Sam, Betraying Islam”.

My favorite scene out of Iran is this military demostration. It’s about the most disturbing thing I’ve seen next to HAMAS’ Mickey Genocide Mouse.

In that first picture, we call that knot a ‘noose.’
The azadi, Jomhorie sign is a classic. I laugh every time I pass taxi drivers shouting out “Azadi! Azadi!”
