The Islamic Republic just launched Press TV, an English language station which Ahmadinejad introduced as “a friend of the oppressed people all around the world”. The project, despite all the investment, seems to have failed, at least for now. ITIran writes “The PressTV website has been down for four hours now. There is even a typo in their huge billboard in Tehran”. He refers to the word “Chanel” on the billboard. He concludes “to my experience, big work does not solely mean spending too much”.
“News A New”??? what does this mean? they clearly don’t even have a English speaking person on their board.
All the money that they are wasting , they can use it for their own people. We should broadcast back to them and tell them, “Clean your own mess inside of your country before trying to fix the world’s”

The site is down because of the huge numbers of hits it got the first day of the launch —- the web online feed is now working, and so you can watch online. … The station is obviously very new – and it shows in the content – But they did have some very refreshing programming including interviews and round table discussions – including one on Lal Masjid in Pakistan. Because the journalists who are the hosts of these shows in English are also new faces – it will take a few months for them to become comfortable in their environment. So far it looks very promising.

Worked for me just now. And look at this gem I found!
Blasts at UK, Zionist embassies in Chile
Explosions have been reported outside the British and Zionist regime embassies in the Chilean capital of Santiago causing minor damages.
Are they trying to out Al-Jazeera Al-Jazeera, or what? How long is a middle-eastern news outlet going to last, when they won’t even put the word “Israel” in print?
