“In the name of democracy”
Frankly, I was looking for coup-planning or assassin-hiring in the Esfandiari-Tajbakhsh-Jahanbegloo show. The Islamic Republic television has published the text of their “confessions”. Either I have forgotten Persian or they really didn’t have much to say, rather than “we went to this conference” and “talked about that”. Is talking and shaking hands with people an offense?
LOL, Kaman. I hear some of it on BBC Persian and I thought the same. As if mere mention of word “democracy” is treasonous and those who dare talk about anything remotely related to a civil society are spies and traitors.
Kamangir: What were they thinking when they did this silly program?

Kamangir, they were thinking that what was obvious to them (that thinking in a certain way is dangerous, as is talking with other people who think like this) would be just as obvious to the sheeple. Obviously, this was a miscalculation, as the sheep are more goat-like than they’d like to admit.
Kamangir: I guess it is true that the Iranian administration is very dumb, even compared to the least intelligent Iranians.

Mollah Hosni wants Hale Esfandiari stoned to death. He is so funny.
Kamangir: He is hilarious. I wish I could translate his post, but it includes too many cultural concepts and the average non-Iranian won’t understand it.
