“The Executed Individuals were Tortured First”

Kamangir | August 1, 2007 | Category Human Rights, Iran, Islamic Republic

5zog38k.jpg“The executed individuals have been tortured beforehand”, stated Shiva Nazar Ahari, a human rights’ activist, to Rooz.

The interview was carried out right before the execution of fifteen individuals, a short while ago. Shiva says “They were arrested more than eighty days ago and fifteen of them are to be executed today. The families do not know if their sons are among the ones to be executed. Whenever they talk about execution, all the parents get excited. To my understanding, the Judiciary is intentionally doing this to hurt the families. That is while according to the Human Rights Law, the detainee’s family must be informed of their whereabouts and health immediately.”

Rooz asks if their charges are known. “They are arrested as gang-members, whilst the administration has not legally defined what this term means…A few hours before execution they are charged in groups to assault or rape, without mentioning which legitimate court has issued the verdict.” “So many families are just waiting to know if their sons will be executed today?” “Yes, I talked to two of the mothers and they keep asking why no one speaks out about their inhumane and barbaric conditions.” Talking about the conditions in which the detainees are being kept, Shiva states “They have not seen the sun for eighty days. They are fed once a day and can drink one glass of water and go to washroom once every day. They have been severely tortured, with whips. There is reputable reports that six people have died under torture, because of brain-bleeding or infection. They are tortured everyday. One man told his mother that they splashed ice water over him and then whipped him. Whipping is a daily practice. They are mostly 20 to 25 years old.”

She reiterates the strong belief that the administration is executing political activists as thugs (see the story of Meisam Lotfi (میثم لطفی) for example).

What else can we say about this regime….They say “after every winter comes Spring” This is the longest winter in Iranian history!

Did you hear the rumor that some of these masked thugs are from Lebanon?

Serendip, I would not be surprised if the reports are truth since the Islamic Republic needs to train their foreign agents in Lebanon, Iraq and other places how to deal with the enemy. What better “hands on” traing than the poor Iranian youth.

Remember how the Kurdish leader, Ghasemloo was killed in Germany? Iranian agent along with his Lebanese trainees.

This execution frenzy is starting to look worse by the day. It’s as if every group executed just fuels the desire to execute more.

As for Iran’s response regarding Israel, it isn’t surprising. The UN Human Rights Council rediverts almost all debate to Israel, as per an unwritten agreement of 50% of its members. That trend got the previous council disbanded, but the new one is no different as even Kofi Annan noted. Hell, Iran served as its chairman even!

This is just an indication of that trend.

Ayatollah Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani in a meeting with a number of members of central council of Students Islamic Association Union in Europe urged them to promote freedom of expression.
When I read that I thought at first it was some kind of joke, and that he and others should look first at their own country and promote freedom of expression there instead of killing and arresting students and journalists. But then I read further that Rafsanjani said that the union strategy is to protect the achievements of the holy system of the Islamic Republic of Iran. And it struck me that protecting achievement of IRI is probably something which Rafsanjani, not to mention many other mullahs, think of as “freedom of expression” whereas real “freedom of expression” is for them, a crime.

Ella, it’s simply the Freedom of Expressing the Right Things, with a very strict definition of what’s right.

Psycho ,Ayatollah Janati, congratulated and praised the Iranian nation and security officers for the recent wave of mass execution by invoking Imam Ali, first Shi’ite Imam out of 12. He said, if Imam Ali were alive he would kill and hang more people.

Yep, that’s the religion of peace at work! No hate crimes here, just cultural expression and “freedom” as championed by the left.
Now flushing a quran, on the other hand, that’s really bad.
*sigh* what is the world coming to? Thank you for posting this story and exposing the horrors of islamofascism!
