Yes, Another Execution
Kamangir | August 2, 2007 | Category Human Rights, Iran, Islam, Islamic Republic
The executed assassin along side the shot judge’s picture. Notice the spectators.
Two years ago today, Akbar Ganji’s judge was assassinated. At the time, Ganji’s case was very hot, so the administration silenced everyone by implicitly relating the assassination with his case and making a political case out of it. Later, aside form the rumors of an internal job, which always exist in Iran, a former gang-member was charged with the crime. His reason, reportedly, was a former conviction by Judge Moghadas, the assassinated judge. He was executed today exactly where he shot him. That would be at the middle of a crowded street in the northern part of Tehran. See more, graphic, pictures here. As always, happy Iranians rushed to the scene.

Wow, they bring their kids too. How tragic.
According to Foxnews.com the individual you show is Hossein Kavoosifar, an accomplice. The principal accused was Majid Kavoosifar, who was hanged as well.

Look at that sick lady she is smiling too?
As for lady smiling on the picture, I am also shocked and appalled. However, I have noticed some Iranians smirk at absurdity of a sad and a painful Issue or a situation. I am puzzled. But, it is a reality. Also, I have seen many 16th centaury public hangings pictures in Europe with gleeful faces. Although, these pictures and those 16th century pictures carry pain of uncivilized judgment and its barbaric style execution, it also bears inherent savagery of rulers in a painful comedy conduct, here the government of IRI.
Or, maybe she does not know any other better way to react to this despicable act of terror. She is a victim. Those who put their signatures on these executions must be put on trial for their barbaric conducts.
