Two years ago in August, Ahmadinejad, who had just been sworn into office, hosted one of his first foreign guests, the Syrian Hafiz Asad. Because of all his rhetoric against the former administration for using the palaces for official events, he decided to welcome Asad right in the street which passed by his office. So, they renewed the asphalt and closed off the street. Later, it was mentioned that a bird had pooped on one of the delegates.

Ahmadinejad has since accustomed to wearing nice cloths and respecting the internationally accepted protocols. So, he meets the new Kyrgyz ambassador to Tehran in one of those fancy palaces.

He is definitely learning. At whose cost, you tell me.
