Other participants of the party were a group of Lebanese Jihadists and their families. That turned the ceremony to a celebration of “Hizballah’s victory over Israel”. ISNA reports [Persian] that the Police will crack down on the youth who have not done their military service. In Iran, every male citizen has to attend a two-year military service after they finish their studies. According to the head of the military service unit in the Police, all Police units and all checkpoints in the roads will ask people about their military service. If anyone fails in producing a Military Service Card, which states that they have already done it, they “will be dealt with”. He emphasized, “All citizens have to carry their card while traveling or seeking service [from government organizations]“. Crack down on the military service was harsh during the war with Iraq. At that time, it was quite possible to be arrested and transferred to the front, if you were not carrying your card.
