The Iranian photographer Ako Salemi has taken pictures of the car-racing queen of Iran. The Tehran-born Ph.D.-student has been driving since thirteen. She was recently banned from entering the stadium for the national competitions. She says this is normal to her and that she never knows if she will be allowed to take part in the competitions or not. Interestingly, female photographers were banned form the stadium as well. Anyhow, Sedigh is the queen of Iran’s car-racing amid all this [Persian]. More pictures in the photoblog .
