A Prophet Needed
Kamangir | September 26, 2007 | Category Human Rights, Iran, Islam, Islamic Republic
In a press conference, after his speech in the UN, Ahmadinejad was asked why although the Islamic Republic claims to support religion, they do not support Bahai’is. Ahmadinejad responded “The Jews’ prophet is Moses, Christians have Jesus, and Muslims have Muhammad. Tell me who is the prophet of the religion you are talking about and when he has arrived” [Persian].
I guess that’s why agnosticism is not tolerated in Iran.

Well as far as agnosticism is concerned, we are our own prophets and what we speak to those who listen is patience, individuality, charity, and above all else, the desire to seek knowledge and in every aspect of our lives. We should use what we learn to make life comfortable for everyone regardless of sex, race, religion, or species. 8-)
Kamangir: Sorry! This does not give us a prophet. :D
theoretically, every religion does not believe the religion that came after it.
This is a very big wrong done by the IRI. Allah has specifically said:
”
”
(Let there be no compulsion in religion: Truth stands out clear from Error: whoever rejects evil and believes in Allah hath grasped the most trustworthy hand-hold, that never breaks. And Allah heareth and knoweth all things.)
Frieda is right! :-)
Well, the Baha’i believe that they had a prophet. Oh, and Al-Kindi, I believe AJ here just made Mattew’s point regarding Islam’s current tolerance for Christianity and Judaism alone. The Baha’is are monotheists, by the way, not that AJ cares about that either.
MiM’s (Musulmaan-i Mumbaaii) path is the just one here. Too bad the leaders of Muslim-law states don’t think in the same manner…
The problem here is Shari’a’s view on apostacy and non-Abrahamic faiths, which is quite clear on the punishment - death. Leave the punishment to the Almighty, should he see it fitting, not to men.
