  1. So, AJ met the Neturei-Karta again? How nice. Neturei-Karta are a tiny group, widely ostarcised within the very ultra-Orthodox community that they belong to (think very religious, to the point of fundamentalist at times. I myself view myself as simply Orthodox, though I am a very religious person).

In fact, Neturei-Karta’s visits to Iran, and their friendliness with AJ, got most Jewish religious leaders to declare them outcasts. That’s pretty much the Jewish version of excommunication.

Some among the ultra-Orthodox view the current state of Israel as secularist and anti-religious, but even the Satmar Hassidim (who say Israel in its current form is a rebellion against the Almighty. In my view they’d only approve of a religious-law state) went publicly against Neturei-Karta’s visit to Iran.

Neturei-Karta are fanatics. AJ’s kind of people, really.

  2. The anti-Baha’i campaign in the IRI still angers me, by the way. It’s based on meaningless hatred and pride.

    Kamangir: It definitely is.

  3. One suggestion Arash: I personally do not like “Good reads” part. I rather see your own opinion about everything.

Kamangir: Ali Jan, sometimes there is so much stuff going on, about most of which I have nothing to add but like to share them anyway. Do you have any suggestion as of how I can share these links?

  4. I love the “good read” section. It informs and gives valuable information. We are entitled to our opinions but not the Facts. We espouse too much opinion sometimes without being grounded in facts and evidence. Thanks for coming up with this section on your blog.

Kamangir: I’m happy you liked it Serendip.
