I hate all Iranians, US aide tells MPs
Britsh MPs visiting the Pentagon to discuss America’s stance on Iran and Iraq were shocked to be told by one of President Bush’s senior women officials: “I hate all Iranians.”
And she also accused Britain of “dismantling” the Anglo-US-led coalition in Iraq by pulling troops out of Basra too soon.
The all-party group of MPs say Debra Cagan, Deputy Assistant Secretary for Coalition Affairs to Defence Secretary Robert Gates, made the comments this month.
Any comment guys?

[...] House “I hate all Iraniansâ€, Senior Bush Official is quoted » This Summary is from an article posted at Kamangir (Archer) - ??????? on Wednesday, October 03, [...]
She’s a man, baby!
What an awful looking women…all plastic and ugh. I think that choker she’s wearing is to hide the Adam’s Apple. It’s no wonder she has so much hate for Iranians. All the Iranians I’ve seen are pretty good looking. 8)
To clarify, she is a senior official at the Pentagon but she was nominated by Gates’ office, not directly by the Bush administration (i.e. the White House).
Tom, good call on Iranian women being good looking. Correct me if I’m wrong, but prior to the revolution Iran was known as the world’s number one exporter of Miss Universes.
Goodness, Cruella Deville reincarnated:

She looks scary. She and Ahmadinejad would make a nice couple.
All these pathetic politicians are performing their damned roles. They call each other bad names, they threaten,…Then after the show go and drink together. Just this time the screenplay is so hackneyed and wishy-washy that the ending can be guessed even by a 10-year-old. What makes me sad is some of the intelligent intellectuals who are so absorbed by this play that they consider it as real!
Thank you dear Archer. Waiting for the next target your arrow would aim. :)
As an Iranian, I must say that I concur with Cagan. I hate all Iranians. As long as this gutter country stands for the khomeinist-islamofascism that infects the world, I hate all of them.
Well, that really depend on what the talk was about.
She might have been angry about Iran helping SCIRI/Badr Brigades/Mahdi Army in Basra to set up Taleban style rule. She might have been angy at British doing nothing about it. So, in anger, she said “I hate all Iranians.”
It is like some of my acquaintances saying “I hate all Americans”. Do they really hate them? Definitely no.
The problem is that she said it to an official British party and to people who might have used what she said in anger for their own purpose (did use it, in fact). Another problem is that some of american politicians don’t think before they talk.
btw. I am not excusing her. I am just trying to figure out why she said what she said.
Faramarz
You can say that “you hate all Iranians”, but you are Iranian, you are allowed ;-)
Others should not and must not say things like that, particularly when they are acting in their official capacity. Even when talking with “close” allies and even when they do not mean (I hope) what they say.
The word “all” is just too inclusive. What a horrible thing to say. Scary too. There’s got to be 60 odd million people in Iran, including children. You’d have to be a pretty bad person to actually hate children. A person like that should wield little or no power.
Hate is a terrible word.
But I hate whatever is in that picture.
I posted here last week - where is it?
That would be an ignorant statement, no matter under what context. ALL? And yes, she looks ……hmmm, she could be a he.
Maybe she takes bad pictures, but it isn’t the ugly pictures that are a problem but the wide ugly brush by witch she paints her hate.
In any event, we can be sure her good looks did not get her the job — funny, making broad-sweeping statements like the one she made about Iranians does not leave me thinking that her brain got her the job. Perhaps she has nice nails.
