On Some Iranians’ Hate of Jews
By Kamangir • Oct 10th, 2007 • Category: Iran, Islam, Islamic Republic, Israel
-Jews have not been enjoying total freedom but Iranians have never chased them down in the streets. In fact, Jews have been very active in the financial sector in Iran.
-Many Arabian governments hate Iran, because of religious differences and also because of the still active idea about Arabian superiority. I was once asked by a person from an Arabian country if Iran had any civilization before they “came in”. Not that I am accusing that person of anything. This just shows how the media bias is over there. Most of these Arabian states also hate Israel.
- There is a strong sentiment amongst some Palestinians to consider Iranians filthy, because of religious differences. It is a well-established fact that Palestinians fought with the Iraqi army during its raids against Iran. After Saddam’s executions they held symbolic vigilances for him in Palestine.
Not that I support any anti-Arab, anti-Palestine, or any other ideology which is against any human being, but, seriously, what do these Iranians think when they march on the Israeli flag? Does anyone remember Israelis ever attacking Iran?

I don’t think I would like anyone to claim for any Iranian cities. It’s weird we let ourselves to say “Qods is ours”. I really love to ask a Palestinian how he/she feels thinks of this slogan which is present in lots of state-run posters about Palestine.
The Jews of Iran have lived in Iran for more than 2000 years. Iranian jews use Iranian names, speak farsi at all times and have adopted to celebrate Iranian new year every year, whether in Iran or not.
They are pure Iranian, you cannot differentiate between an Iranian jew to a Non jew unless he or she identifies the religion.
How many Palestinians do you know that Live in Israel that use Israeli names for thier children or ever celebrate Hanuka or Sukkah or Rosh Hashana. Israeli Arabs living in Israel hang Sadam the picture of Assad and Saddam Hosein and Arafat in their house, where as Iranian Jews have alwasy had the the pictures of Shah of Iran and possibly Moses.
Jews of Iran, are real Loyal Iranians and possibly the most trusted whether in the Pahlavi regime or Islamic Republic of today.
How many Iranian jews have you ever seen to take an action against Iran and how many Israeli Arabs do you know that accept the existance of Israel.
Judge for youself

…um, why should Israeli Arabs celebrate Rosh Ha’Shana, Sukkot, or whatever? These are religious holidays, not national ones.
Nor are Jews trusted in the Islamic Republic. Worthy of trust, yes, but trusted? A Jew has a great deal more trouble when it comes to exit permits from Iran, and the Jewish community must always say exactly what the regime wants, lest they be accused of Zionism. Iranian Jews accused of being Zionist end up dead, so the community learned. And Iranian Jews do have distinct names, though they often keep their Jewish names a secret so as to not stand out, using instead a state-name.
That is all. Just correcting what I found a bit weird.
Jews have attacked the Muslim ummah, of which Iran is a part of. Non-Muslims would not see it this way, which is why you are confused.
BTW, you are just spreading distrust and animosity amongst Muslims, and amongst Arabs and Persians with these posts of yours. In my masjid, we have Iranians Arabs Malaysians Indians Russians Americans - everything. Islam sees no race, this is VERY agreed upon, by non-Muslims even. Perhaps the people you’ve been talking to are just ignorant?
Also, my wife is Iranian and she would probably beat me silly if she found out I planned a trip to Israel or something.
No religion is perfect. The problem is everyone thinks they are the chosen people, they are the right way or have all the answers, and forget they are humanbeings, Islam sees no race but those who possess it see race all the time. Christianity talks about forgivness and yet think of all the crimes committed in its name, and Jewish religion goes through the horrible genocide and has a problem today on dealing with Palestinians who live amongst them.
God perfect, Moses/Mohammad/Jesus wise, humanbeing/imperfect
MiM, the Muslim Ummah is little more than a political form of Islam. Have Jews attacked Islam? No, Jews have fought specific Muslims for specific reasons, and yet you have already absolved these Muslims of all blame because they are part of your precious Ummah, and added yourself to a war that you are not a part of.
Well, this is how holy wars start, when such a large religion views itself as a state. You hold the same mentality as Catholic Christians did during the height of the Holy Roman Empire. For you, Islam is a nation, and you fail to see that for groups like Al-Qaeda or Hizb au-Tahrir, this is the centralmost guideline, the ultimate justification for the Lesser Jihad.
The days of the Caliphs are over, MiM. Enough war in the name of Islam.
Musulmaan……… @ #6
Would divorce help solve your problem?
Just say it 3 times and no more beating.
Roman K.: It would be nice if the Palestinians weren’t Muslims, and the Dome of the Rock was not in Jerusalem, and Jerusalem had no religious significance for Muslims. But that’s obviously not the case. You haven’t even begun to convince me, much less the other billion Muslims on the planet.
Leo: Thanks for your input.
I’ll never forget the earthquake in Bam, Iran (and, if I understand correctly, it still hasn’t been made habitable) when Israel offered to send help. And this help was turned down and when Iranians heard about this they were very angry that this offer of help was not accepted.
And concerning Islam’s ‘attachment’ to Jerusalem, this city is not mentioned anywhere in the Koran. But it is in our Holy Torah hundreds and hundreds of times. And since our expulsion from the Land, we have been praying in the direction of Yerushalayim for the past 2,000 years. King David made it the capital but it was his son Shlomo (Solomon) who was given the right to build the Holy Temple. Even the Koran says that the Land of Israel belongs to the Jewish people! Ask Sheikh Palazzi of Italy about this!
MiM, perhaps not every Muslim is worth supporting simply because he is Muslim, and not every Muslim holy site is worth starting a war over because Islam *must* dominate it. The significance of Jerusalem and the Western Wall, the final remant of the Temple, is important to Jews as Mecca is important to Sunni Islam. And yet it pains so much that Jews govern anything that you see as Muslim…
Perhaps it’s time you stopped being so arrogant about your faith, and realized that it is not the only one in the world.
Recent Jewish-Iranian relations are marked by both irony and tragedy.
It is ironic that it was one of the greatest Persian kings, Cyrus II, who rescued the Jews from exile and enabled them to return to Jerusalem to rebuild the Temple. The Book of Ezra records the decrees of Cyrus and Darius. Jewish memory reserves a special place for these great men.
Jews and Israelis have historically been disposed toward friendship with Persia/Persians/Iran. The only reason why there is tension between Iran and Israel today is that the Khomeinists insist on promoting it. The Khomeinists’ insistence on attacking Israel is a tragic example of completely unnecessary hostility.
Ironically, crazy Khomeinist leaders continue to insist on making an enemy out of one of the few countries that ever aided them in their defensive war against Saddam Hussein, and recently they have even tried to make an enemy of the Jewish people as a whole - people who had no reason to want conflict with Iran and who would much rather have been friends.
Tragic and stupid.
I hope you guys aren’t as ignorant as you sound: no Muslim cares about who “owns” Jerusalem. Jerusalem is a city, it belongs to the people who reside in it. When mosques are attacked and people are killed in the streets and blocked from entering their holy places is when they say no more oppression.
“When mosques are attacked and people are killed in streets and blocked from entering their holy places is when they say no more oppression.”
Replace “mosques” with “synagogues” and you might begin to get a grasp over reality.
“Jews have attacked the Muslim ummah, of which Iran is a part of. Non-Muslims would not see it this way, which is why you are confused.”
From what I understand the ummah is not so united that it actually welcomes the Shia into its fold. After reading Shia Revival by Vali Nasr, I understand that the Shia have been massacred, discriminated against, and forced into hiding.
People are not blocked from entering their holy sites, nor are said holy sites attacked. Just for your information, MiM, Israel allowed the Waqf to retain their control of the Al-Aqsa grounds after 1967. Palestinian Muslims enter the place freely for the Friday prayers, with the exceptions being youths during security alerts (they have a tendency of starting riots, bringing weapons, and throwing rocks down on the people praying at the Western Wall).
Oh, and MiM? Do you know what happened to Jerusalem’s Old City synagogues when the Jordanians took charge in 1948? They were razed down. The Western Wall was reduced to a trash heap.
I live in Lod, MiM. The old mosque in the Old City has recently been fully renovated. The other old mosques have been active for decades under Evil Zionist dominion. Several new ones have been built as the city grew to engulf the nearby villages. I had the distinct pleasure of having to wake up at 5AM to no less than four Muezzins up until a year ago, at which point I just got used to it. Every Israeli university with a large Muslim student count has a prayer room for Muslims. Requests for full-fledged mosques (with a muezzin) have been refused, on the grounds that if Jews can have a synagogue in a Uni basement room, then Muslims aren’t entitled to special treatment and get more.
Check your facts. Or rather, check your propaganda.
Perhaps you referring to the archaeological digs near the Western Wall recently? Well, those had to do with rebuilding one of the walkways leading up to Al-Aqsa, which had been slowly collapsing for years. On people. In the Old City of Jerusalem, you can’t build anything without archeologists inspecting the site to ascertain that the construction isn’t destroying valuable relics. I can upload a picture of this walkway to my Geocities account, if you like, and show it to you.
Your ignorance, by the way, is starting to get on my nerves. The so-called “Palestinian Resistance” has been targeting civilians since the Fedayeen started operating during the Fifties, and civilians have remained their primary target since. Perhaps you missed the height of Suicide Bomber season during the Nineties and during the Second Intifada? It was at least one suicide bomber a day, bus after cafe after resteraunt after falafel stand after club after market… day after day after day… And this is Resistance, the deliberate targeting of civilians, reducing young people to living bombs, hatemongering and lies…
Whereas the IDF targets armed people, MiM. Armed people who are quite intent on killing unarmed people. Warfare in urban areas means civilian casualties, sadly, especially when objects such as Kassam rocket launchers (which bombard towns) are hidden in said urban areas. When you invent a 40Km sniper rifle that can curve around walls, please let us now. Or if you can, please convince Hamas members to not use their own people as human shields.
I’m tired of listening to you. Either grow up and realize that Jews have the right *not* to be blown up as they go about their daily lives, be it to the market or to pray, or kindly keep silent. I am tired of ignorance and preconceived views, they are worse than malice and hatred.
And do you know why? Because ignorance and preconceptions are more widespread than hatred, and are much more difficult to fight. Open your eyes, and drop your persistent and total pro-Muslim bias.
I don’t care about Jews! Nor did I say they should be blown up! They should do whatever they want *except* harassing and occupying Muslim land.
*I* care, because I’d like to stay alive. I’d like my family to stay alive, my friends to stay alive, and my countrymen to stay alive. I don’t want to go back to a bomb-a-day, I had enough of that during my childhood.
Maybe you should open your mind to the fact that this isn’t just about Muslims, and that Muslims aren’t “good guys” by definition.
Now explain what you mean by “Muslim land”. Some claim that half of Spain, parts of France, and all of Greece are “Muslim land”.
Don’t know don’t care - Jerusalem the Holy City is Muslim land and Muslims will not tolerate Jews trampling on our sanctities! Not not now EVER!
I thought you said that you had no problem with who is the sovereign. I guess I must have misread you there. Now, I have two news flashes for you. One is that Jerusalem has sites that are holy to Muslims, Christians, and Jews.
The second news flash is that Jews have tolerated both Muslim and Christian sovereignity over Jewish holy sites for over the past 1400 years. Get used to the new reality.
Oh, and no, Jerusalem isn’t Muslim land. The Jews built the place, and the Jews now govern the place. And the Jews treat the holy sites of other faiths with respect. It’s not our fault that Muslims, or rather you in particular, throw temper tantrums over a walkway rebuilt *near* your holy site, and that leads *to* your holy site. At least you’re not shouting about how the Jews mean to destroy Al-Aqsa… yet, that is. Apparently placing a live 24/7 camera feed on-site wasn’t enough, nor were Turkish experts to survey the site.
Nevermind. I tire of your fanaticism. It wasn’t enough for Muslims to put a mosque over the site of our Temple, we now have your particular brand of Islam that goes around shouting that you own the place by divine edict.
When Muslims blow up mosques in Iraq, you keep silent. When Jews go *near* a mosque you start a temper tantrum. Incredible. Why don’t make use of that Indian passport of yours, visit Israel as a tourist, and see whatever it is that you seek for yourself. Trying to convince you that reality and what you think it is are two very different things seems to be pointless.
