Ahmadinejad on the Fall, Official Poll Indicates

According to a poll carried out recently by ISPA [Persian], a center affiliated with the state-run Universities’ Jihad, 52% of participants have identified Ahmadinejad’s performance as “unsuccessful”. The results which were published two days ago also indicate that when asked about “Islamic Values” and “Foreign Policies”, the participants appraised the government but his performance in “Social Justice”, “Controlling the Inflation” and “Freedom”, which were all included in his campaign promises, were not recognized as a success [Persian].

Only 17% of the participants have called the government as successful and 31% were still pondering. This is the first poll since Ahmadinejad’s presidency. 47% of those who voted for him in the past elections will vote for him again. 24% of his supporters will not vote again for any candidate.

Bahonar, a top MP and one of the major supporters of Ahmadinejad, when asked about the results of the poll, said “One poll does not lead to a theory” [Persian].
