According to Farda News [Persian], 39-year-old A.H. was executed in public in the city of Qom, on charges of child molestation. He was sentenced to execution only one month after his arrest. Farda claims that he confessed to his crime in the court for numerous times. More, graphic, pictures in the photoblog.

What the hell is going on with IRI judiciary?
I agree that child molestation is ugly, that people who are doing this kind of thing should go to jail for a long, long time, but a death sentence? Death sentence for this is really unproportionate to the crime.

Death sentence for this is really unproportionate to the crime.

Right, killing him is like setting him free. Instead he should be put in jail, and all of his fellow inmates should know what has he done. Let them make his life “beautifull”.

There 3 reasons I object death sentence:

    1. Irreversibility of possible mistake.

    2. Easy way out (Andrey, I am with you).

    3. Endless appeals make it too costly for taxpayer.

Arash - unless you know for a FACT that this man was a “child molester” I would suggest that you put the charge for which he was strangled for in quotation marks - the Fascist Islamic regime typicaly hangs innocent people under trumped up charges that are passed by a mullah judge in a kangaroo court format WITHOUT ANY LEGAL DUE PROCESS.

The real molesters are the mullahs you daily violate the human rights of all Iranians with their oppressive rule .

Kamangir: Thanks for the reminder. I agree.

Why cover the eyes? Do they prefer not even having to dodge an accusing glare?
