George W. Bush to run for the Parliament in Iran

The parliamentary elections are approaching and for the first time candidates can register through a website. Apparently, some people are having a bit of fun with the system. As reported by the daily newspaper Etemad, a person has registered under the name George Bush [Persian].

It is not mentioned in the piece, but knowing the Iranian people, I am sure a lot of people have registered under names which are made by concatenating the names of the leaders of Iran with the most explicit sexual curses. We have a very strong sense of humor and we use it against whom we don’t like.
